Susan Martin is a corporate communications professional with 20-plus years of industry experience in Fortune 500 companies.
Most recently she was with Lockheed Martin's information technology division, Information Systems & Global Solutions (IS&GS), a $10B business area, where she provided marketing and communications support and internal communications in the Strategic Communications organization. Prior to that Ms. Martin served as the communications manager for the Strategy & Business Development team at IS&GS, responsible for growing the business, which is the No. 1 provider of information technology solutions to the Federal Government.
Earlier in her career Ms. Martin was with Lockheed Martin's defense side of the house at Maritime Systems & Sensors where she focused on marketing, full-service communications and employee engagement.
Prior to joining Lockheed Martin she worked at the worldwide headquarters of Prudential Financial in Newark, New Jersey, in Global Communications. She wrote for the company's award-winning Prudential Leader magazine and also supported external media events.
Ms. Martin earned her masters degree from Seton Hall University in Corporate & Public Communications. She holds her bachelor's degree from Montclair State University in Communication Studies and Journalism.
She has received numerous awards and accolades for strategic communication, writing and excellence in communication throughout her career. She was recognized with "Best in Show" for communication skills by International Association of Business Communicators in 2002.
