For over 30 years, Stuart Rowlands PR (SRPR) has been proud to develop public relations, publicity programs and events with a ‘hands on’ approach for large corporations and small businesses.
SRPR was founded in London, where Stuart managed publicity and public relations for Tom Jones, Rod Stewart, Spencer Davis, Jimmy Cliff, Traffic and Island Records. Soon after, he represented the Ghana government, including Ghana Airways and Ghana Export Board, as well as the London Playboy Club.
In 1974, Stuart moved to the U.S. and was hired as Vice President of Saltman & Flood whose clients included Ali-Frazier 1 - heavyweight fight, the Andy Williams show and the San Diego Open. Four years later to join Trans World International (TWI), then the world’s largest independent producer of sports programming for television. Two years later he was promoted to Director of International Publicity for TWI’s parent company IMG, based at their worldwide headquarters in Cleveland where he focused on clients participation at Wimbledon, the British Open, the US Ski team and the US PGA and LPGA Tours.
In 1980, Stuart reopened Stuart Rowlands PR in Los Angeles with clients such as American Honda, Anheuser Busch, Bridgestone Tires, Colgate Palmolive, ESPN, IMG and Suzuki, where he worked with personalities including Dinah Shore, Nancy Lopez, Mark McCormack, Muhammad Ali, Jack Nicholas, Otis Chandler, Björn Borg and Greg Norman. On the world stage, clients included working with Quebec Premier René Lévesque at the Quebec Winter Carnival and former President Jimmy Carter and UN Secretary Kofi Annan at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremonies in Oslo.
In addition to working with the Nobel Institute - including the Peace Prize, Peace Concert television special, and Peace Symposium, Stuart produced entertaining segments and wrote and hosted interviews with Nobel Laureates including Northern Ireland’s John Hume, South Africa’s Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and Polish President Lech Wałęsa.
In 1999 Stuart returned to IMG based in Cleveland, Ohio as Vice President of Global Public Relations with special responsibility for the Nobel Peace Concert, Peace Prize and the Nobel Institute. In 2003 Stuart returned to Los Angeles with IMG and the Nobel Institute as his first clients. Over the past few years, Stuart Rowlands PR has been proud to assist Lucas Oil, Lucas Oil Racing TV and MAVTV establish their presence in the media. Other clients have included Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment and the International Real Estate Awards.
